Ocean pollution

Today for reading we had to make a slide to help stop ocean pollution. Firstly I went on to the internet to search and read for some facts about ocean pollution before then adding all the facts I remembered that was interesting to my slide. I would really like you to go and read my slides and learn some more about how to stop pollution.

I found it easy to find some facts to write on my slides beacuse there were so many to choose from.

I found it hard to find some good clear images to add to my slides.

Next time I will try to investigate more about plastic breakdown

My learning object shows that I can insert a slide to my blog.

Wow! You have been incredibly busy today! Your slide is very informative. I liked reading the facts you have learnt and I love how you have backed it up with a suggestion of how to reduce waste so plastic is not polluting our environment. My favorite point that you have added is repair before replace. Can you give an Example for this? Keep up this awesome blogging Cameron, you should be super proud of your efforts.
I Will visit your blog again soon.

  2. Kia Ora Cameron,

I love your Our Ocean Pollution slideshow. 10 Million tons of rubbish entering the ocean every year is a very scary wow fact! Great idea doing further research to inform your learning. Thank you for sharing ideas on ways to reduce pollution. Have you got a vegetable garden at home?

The Ocean is my happy place and I think it is very important that we look after it. In summer my whānau spend a lot of time at the beach, swimming, diving, and relaxing on the sand. It is very important that we only leave footprints in the sand when visiting. On Monday we went for a walk to the beach and we picked up a lot of rubbish out of it! The rockpools had all sorts of things like old gloves, a pair of secateurs, metal, a curtain, and other rubbish.

We also collected some shells and ground down glass, plus a bonus of 6 sinkers that had gotten stuck in the sand. I think that was a little present from Tangaroa/ocean God to say thank you for cleaning me, We can use these for when we go fishing.

Nice to see your posting quality blogs through lockdown.
