September Reflection News Letter

Today we had to do our September reflection newsletter. We have to write about what we have been doing this month. I am most proud of my Freda Carlo Art work, you will be able to see this on my blog tomorrow.

What are you proud of this month?

I found it easy to put it on my blog beacuse I have been doing blogging for 2 and a half years now.

I found it hard to remember what to reflect on because I do not remember what I was doing for the whole month.

next time I would like to do something different like change the background color and the images.

Tongan language Week

Today we had a task about tongan language week and we had to watch this video here the video will tall you how to pronounce the tongan words some of the words that you will learn if you go and read my slides are The word please you will learn it in tongan and in english and on the first slide I have added a mote on how I pronounce the word and when I went on to the next slides it would not work so if you are wondering why there are no motes it is beacuse I could not get it to insert to thee slides.

I found it easy to write the words on my slides beacuse I would just go to the video and just write it down and then just go to my slides and write it down on my slides.

I found it hard to pronounce some of the word so i had to keep on watching the video and learn how to pronounce the word in tongan.

Next time I will choose some different tongan words beacuse I do not want them to be the same.

Cat Are Better Than Dogs

 Today we had a  task and we had to either write about Dogs are better than cat or cats are better than dogs and the one that I have written about is cats are better than dogs so please will you please go and read my slides and learn about why I think cats are better than dogs will you please go and read my slides it would be nice because it had taken me about an hour and a half. If you read my slides you will know why I think cat are better than dogs. I had to watch 2 videos one was called 10 things about why cats are better than dogs and one was called why dogs are better than cats.\

I found it easy to write it on my slides beacuse I had written it all on paper and then I had written it on my slides.

I found it hard to write the fact down beacuse I could not remember what they had said in the video so that I could write it down on the video.

Next time I will try and write about something different beacuse I do not want it to be the same thing this time.

Homework At Home

 Today we had a task for writing we had to choose something to write about and I have chosen to write about homework at home and will you please go and read my slides to see what why I Think homework at home is good for you so will you please go and read my slides beacuse i have added why I think it is good for you And will you please go ad read my slides beacuse it took my a really long time to write it down on the slides. Please keep an eye on my blog beacuse I will be writing about bullying at school and how to stop it.

I found it hard to write the words down beacuse when I look away form the piece of paper that I had written it down on I forgot were I was up to.

I found it easy to choose the images beacuse there were some many options to choose from.

Next time I would like to choose from beacuse I do not want to write about the  same thing that I have written about this time.

Kiwi Icon

 Today i had decided to do some research about Kiwi Icons (Kiwiana). I decided to research this to follow on with the Kiwi blog I had done because Kiwis are also a Kiwi Icon. Can you please go and ead my slides and learn about some kiwi icons that you maybe didn't know about so please will you please go and read my slides.

There are so many Kiwi Icons that are well known and used by many New Zealanders. 

I found it easy to research these on the internet on google beacuse they are so well known in New Zealand.

I found it hard to decide what icon to write a short note about as to why it is a New Zealand icon.

Next time I would like to try and use more background images.

Composting

 We have been busy adding more of our compost to our gardens for mum so i thought it would be great idea to do a blog about composting to maybe encourage others to start one of their own.

The process of adding all the products to the compost is really easy and quick. You basically add the items and forget until time to mix in. To build a homemade compost can be very cheap and easy to make to get you started.

I found it really easy to dig the soil from the heap as it was so soft from being turned all the time.

I found it hard to push the wheelbarrow once fill as it was really heavy so i had to make it a bit less.

My wow factor is watching how quickly the plants grow once planted in this homemade compost.

NZ Native Kiwi Writing

 Today I wanted to find out more about our national icon which is also a native New Zealand bird being the Kiwi. There is also a breeding wet/bushland at Motu here in Gisborne of witch I would like to organise to go and visit. If you want to learn more about Kiwis will you please go and read my blog post beacuse I would like you to learn about Kiwis.

I found it easy to research beacuse there are so many interesting sites to read and learn.

I found it hard  to write the facts in my blog beacuse there are so many facts that I had I had to write.

Next time I will choose a different animal to write about  beacuse I do not want to write about the same animal.

August Reflection

 Today since we are at the end of the month we have to do our August reflection  and we have to do the Reflection. If you want to know what I have been doing in August for learning please go and red my slides and you will see what I have been doing at school before lockdown and what I have been doing in lockdown and for lockdown learning and I hope you think what I think what i have been doing for lockdown learning is fun.

I found it easy to remember what to do beacuse we have to do this every month.

I found it hard to remember what I had done before lockdown at school and what I have been doing during lockdown.

Next time I will do something different on each of the blogs and I will change the pitcher beacuse I will be different next time I take the photo.

Orca Writing

Today we had to research about either a orca or a cecader  and i choose to research about the orca and if you want to learn about orcas can you please go and read my slides beacuse they have lots and lots of fats and I hope you like the  facts that I have chosen and I hope you like the animal that I have chosen also. I would like you to go and read my slides beacuse I do want someone to learn something different about orcas.

I found it hard to make the slides and write the storey beacuse my brain had switched off and I was getting tired.

I found it a really easy task because there was so many things to choose from.

It was hard trying to find something that would brighten my day.

 This week for writing we were learning to paragraph. We have written about our favourite author the author that I have chosen is  Joy Cowley and I was trying to stick to 1 topic and also  tried to add 2 to 3 supporting details in my writing we have been learning to paragraph for at least 3 weeks now. We had to search some facts and then we had to write them on to a google docs that the teacher had sent us and then we had to write all our fats and writing into the docs the docs where called author study  so please go and read my post.

I found it hard to stick to on topic beacuse I did not know what order to do the paragraphs in.

June Reflection

 This week we have been doing our June reflection and if you look at my screen shot you will see what I have been doing this month.When you look at my screen shot you will see what I have been learning this month has been so much fun It has been so much fun this month.

 

I found it easy to remember what I did this month beacuse It was very easy to remember what I did this month.  

I  found it hard  to put it on my blog beacuse I did not know what to write.

Next time I will change the writing beacuse we do not do the same thing every month.

how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly

 This week for writing we had to use a digam in our writing and the title of my writing is how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly and in my writing am explaining how a caterpillar turns into a butterfly.if you look at my writing and you look at the bottom you will w\see my diagram that I drew in my writing book.

I found it hard to use a diagram because we do not use them alot. 

I found it easy to type it on docs and then published it to my blog.

Next time I will have a different title and not the same beacuse do not want it to be the same.

How do caterpillars turn into butterflies

Did you know caterpillars turn into butterflies in two weeks

They eat leaves and food around their house to get ready to hydranate  then they mack there cacone to sleep in they sleep in the cacone for two weeks when they wake up the turn into a butterfly but it takes about two hours for their wings to stretch out and then they can fly all over the city and lay more eggs to turn into caterpillars then they will turn into butterflies.Then for the other butterflies take about 3 days to lay more eggs because they have to be a right age to lay more eggs.

Ice cadels

This week we made ice candles  and i thought after we put the oil in and the ice in and the wax in and left it overnight it would still be watery on the inside when we ripped it open.

We used ice,oil,cartins,wax,candles,pans.

1.We cut of the top of the cartin.

2.We put the oil in the cartin and we rubbed it around the side of the cartin.

3.Then we put the ice in the cartin.

4.We melted the old candle that didn't work and then we pored the wax in the carton with the ice.

5. Then we let it settle overnight.

6. Then we ripped it open and it started to pour out water out of the sides of the candle that had holes in it.

August Student Reflection Newsletter.

 We are doing our August Student Reflection Newsletter in class for this month.

I found it hard to do the trivia on the newsletter because I wasn't sure what questions to do. I wasn't sure what the people who read my blog would know about.

haast Eagle report

 We are writing a report on an extinct animal my animal is haast Eagle.I had two week to finish it.I  animals on a haast eagle and I have to blow it. here is my writing on a haast eagle.

Did you not that  the  eagle was large enough to attack a child,as described in Maori oral

tradition.A robust large bodied eagle proportionally large head bill  and Talons.The vulture-like bill

was up to 130 mm long, and the thick talons were up to 75 mm long. 
diet

Haast's eagles preyed on large, flightless bird species, including the moa,

which was up to fifteen times the weight of the eagle.

Habitat
It lived on the South Island of New Zealand, where there were no other large predators.

Fossil evidence shows that the areas where the Haast's eagle lived were covered in forest

and shrublands, as well as in the grasslands on river floodplains.

Loss of habitat due to the burning of South Island dry mosaic forests and shrublands

by humans may also have caused declines in its prey species.
