NZ Native Kiwi Writing

 Today I wanted to find out more about our national icon which is also a native New Zealand bird being the Kiwi. There is also a breeding wet/bushland at Motu here in Gisborne of witch I would like to organise to go and visit. I found it easy to research beacuse there are so many interesting sites to read and learn.

I found it hard  to write the facts in my blog beacuse there are so many facts that I had I had to write.

Next time I will choose a different animal to write about  beacuse I do not want to write about the same animal.

Paralympics Writing

 Today for inquiry we had to write about what is the paralympic games and if you want to know what the paralympics are you can go and read my sides and you will learn about what the paralympics are and when it started and lots more I have written lots of facts and I would like you to go and read my slides and if you do you will learn a lot hopefully so please go and read my slides that I have worked on all day and it would be amazing if I could get a comment and I if someone could read my slides that would be good. I have learnt a lot about the paralympics beacuse I have been researching a lot about the paralympics  games and I have learnt a lot about the paralympics and I hope you will learn a lot to so please go and read m blog post and my slides.

August Reflection

 Today since we are at the end of the month we have to do our August reflection  and we have to do the Reflection. If you want to know what I have been doing in August for learning please go and red my slides and you will see what I have been doing at school before lockdown and what I have been doing in lockdown and for lockdown learning and I hope you think what I think what i have been doing for lockdown learning is fun.

I found it easy to remember what to do beacuse we have to do this every month.

I found it hard to remember what I had done before lockdown at school and what I have been doing during lockdown.

Next time I will do something different on each of the blogs and I will change the pitcher beacuse I will be different next time I take the photo.

Orca Writing

Today we had to research about either a orca or a cecader  and i choose to research about the orca and if you want to learn about orcas can you please go and read my slides beacuse they have lots and lots of fats and I hope you like the  facts that I have chosen and I hope you like the animal that I have chosen also. I would like you to go and read my slides beacuse I do want someone to learn something different about orcas.

I found it hard to make the slides and write the storey beacuse my brain had switched off and I was getting tired.

I found it easy to put it on my blog beacuse I have been blogging for 2 and a half years.

Next time I will choose a different animal beacuse I do not want to research about the same animal.

3 Wellbeing Challenges

 Today we had to do 3 wellbeing challenges and we had to roll the dice and it will give you a number and then you go to the sheet and look for the number that you got and then you have to do the challenge that it says you have to do you have to roll the dice at least 3 times and you have to do the challenges that you get. You have to take a photo or video of you doing that task that you got and I got 1,5,3 and me and my sister have the same work so we just work together and we do the tasks that we have each day and for the week.

I found it easy to do the tasks and take a photo at the same time.

I found it hard to choose one of the tasks that were in the numbers that I got.

Next time I will choose some different tasks on the numbers that I get

Making Homemade Pizzas

 Today my mum gave me the challenge to make homemade pizza for the family for lunch. Mum got the recipe and I had to get all the ingredients out to make the pizzas and it was really hard and confusing. I had to to make 2 large pizzas for the family beacuse we love the homemade pizzas so much it is so yummy and nice. This is the first time I have ever made the pizza in our family and my mum has made it every other time.

I found it hard to make the pizza beacuse I have never made it before.

I found it easy to find the ingredients beacuse I know where they all are.

Next time I will try and make a better pizza beacuse I think I could do better.

Maths Escape Room

 Today for maths it was very hard as some answers were not there  or made the answers word not look right.

Question 6 asked how many nails left which would be 17 but the answer letter I think it should be is m being 108 which is how many used.

I found it really hard in some of it so asked mum for a little help. She Explained different things or different ways to get the answer so I had  some brain food and went back to complete.

I found it hard to find the answer beacuse it was getting really hard and confusing and it was also really hard because I had to stop and help my sister.

I found it easy to put it on my blog beacuse I have been doing bogging for 2 and a half years.

Next time I will try and answer all the questions by myself beacuse I had to get help by mum.

My Prayer Space

 Monday 30th August 2021  I was on prayers for my class google meet as I was representing the house captains and we had to create a prayer space out of things that we had found around our house.

My prayer space included a candle, cross, deer, flowers, shells and a green cloth.

I am sharing this to my blog as I thought it would be nice to share with people the space and my prayer.

Covid 19

 Today I was getting really bored so my mum said why don't you make a slides about how to stop covid 19 and further research. It was really interesting researching when it started and how quick it spread. There is a big difference between the first strand recorded and the delta that is now circulating the world and sadly New Zealand.

Go hard go fast I think will be the best outcome to stamp out this new delta variant.

I found it easy to know the protection facts as this is what we are currently doing daily.

I found it hard to decide what important dates to put on my slide about the different levels of lockdown, so I tried to record the dates that you may find interesting.

Next time I would like to try and find out how the virus affects the body.

My Prayer Space

 Today I was on prayers for St Francis (green house) I was on prayers for the google meet that we have at 9.30 every day to talk about what we have to do for our learning and we all pray together but well we are at home. The candle is for god's love and light, the blossoms representing spring is coming soon as part of god's nature. The driftwood cross is recycled items that I made from god's nature. The shells are for gods sea creations and the green cloth is for ordinary time.

I found it easy to find the objects to add to my prayer space .

I found it hard to pronounce what the objects represent.

Next time I will try and choose some different objects to put on my prayer space.

Ocean pollution

 Today for reading we had to make a slide to help stop ocean pollution. Firstly I went on to the internet to search and read for some facts about ocean pollution before then adding all the facts I remembered that was interesting to my slide. I would really like you to go and read my slides and learn some more about how to stop pollution.

I found it easy to find some facts to write on my slides beacuse there were so many to choose from.

I found it hard to find some good clear images to add to my slides.

Next time I will try to investigate more about plastic breakdown

Rugby Training

 Every day I have been trying to do some of my training routines to keep up my fitness levels for inter school rugby. I think doing this for half an hour twice a day will keep my fitness levels up ready for when we return to inter school rugby.

It would be great to see some of my teammates joining in with some of the training routines to keep our team strong. Maybe you could video some routines and blog it for me to add and try out.

I am not only doing this for myself but my team included, and also as the coaches put so much of their spare time to us I would like to respect that.

I found it easy to video of the exercises as I do them daily.

I find it hard to do on my own without my team support. 

Next time I will be trying out new skills that I am learning from watching videos from the internet.

Window View

Today for writing we had to pick a slide to learn and write about.

 I have chosen what I see out my window. iI you look at my slides you will see a list of some items of what I can see.  So please have a look at my slides.

I have listed 10 things I see out my window. 

I found it a really easy task because there was so many things to choose from.

It was hard trying to find something that would brighten my day.

Next time I would like to try and see if i can spot any animals or birds.

Science Balloon Experiment

 Today we had to do a balloon experiment. We had to make the balloon blow up with just a bottle, vinegar and baking soda. We have taken a video and if you want to watch it you can go to the bottom of my blog post and watch it I hope you like the experiment. We have had so much fun doing the experiment it blow up the balloon about  halfway and then we taped the bottom of the bottle and then nothing happens. And then I had to stop the video beacuse if I had left it on you will just be looking at the bottle beacuse it was just not doing anything.

When you mix baking soda and vinegar together something new is foamed.

The baking soda is having a reaction to the vinegar and it is creating gas.

We noticed as the soda hit the vinegar it started to bubble. 

Puting the ballon over the top of the bottle so it did not break.

Next time I will try to use more vinegar and baking soda as the more gas you create the bigger the balloon hopefully. 

The gas it has created is call Carbon Dioxide.

  

Amazing Find Today

 Today on our walk we have  found a tree and it had about 100 butterflies on the one tree.  We were trying to take photos of them but they would just fly away so we just took a video of the tree and the butterflies flying around. Me and my sisters were trying to catch them but we could not catch them they were to fast. We were then wondering what the group would be called beacuse there was so many so we came home and researched and found out what it was called. 

Did you know that a group of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope, a swarm or a flutter?  

I found it really hard to take a photo beacuse they just keep moving really fast.

Adventure Walk Part 2

 I found some nice natural photo places to take some memory photos. These were some of the places we found  well we were out on our adventure walk. We took photos with drain pipes, stumps and lots of other things.We even found some rabbit holes in the piles of dirt on the way through our adventure walk.

I found it hard to find some different photo settings as it is manley just pine trees through the golf course.

I found it easy to take the photos and add them to my blog post.

Next time I will like to try and find near locations that I can explore.

 

Recycled Beach Art

 We were lucky enough to have some supplies that we had collected from the beach to be able to create some projects using all these items we had collected driftwood, seaweed and shells. We have also started to make crosses, stars and wall hanging with air plants. Air plants are great as they do not require soil or watering to grow.

I found it hard to decide what to make beacuse there are so many creations you can make.

I found it easy to break the stiks if need be beacuse they are really dry.

Next time I will try and find dumped items not belonging at the beach and recycled.

 

Nature Mandalas

 This week we were having fun creating different nature mandalas. These are fun to make beacuse you can use anything from big to small. Making these with a different background or make a different effect for each mandala made.  Using rocks, leaves, shells, flowers, pinecones and ferns is what I found available to be able to use.   

I found this easy to find the objects to make them.

I found it hard to find places to make the madalas where the wind would not blow the objects away.

Next time I wont to try and create a mandala using different coloured and size flowers to create a colourful effect.

  

Adventure Walk

 Today for our daily walk we walked around the park golf course that is situated close to our home. It is really enjoyably getting out daily with our family bubble during lockdown. Through our walk we discovered this really cool carved native bird out of an old tree stump. After this find we were looking out for more really cool nature photo shots. Please keep an eye on my blog for further posts and hope they will be enjoyed and inspire you all. 

I found it interesting that nature can make really nice memory photos.

Next time I will try and add some natural nature photos.

It is not hard at all to capture nice photos with all the nature that surrounds us.

 

Sea Lion puzzle

Today we had to make a puzzle of a sea lion  and w had to see what it reminded us of and I think that it reminds me of my mum and dad and love I had a fun  time doing the puzzle and it was super hard and it took me about 20 minutes to solve it but it was really cool when it was finished beacuse i could remember about my mum and my family and about loving and caring.

I found it easy to put it on my blog beacuse i have been doing blogging for 2 and a half years.

I found it hard to solve the puzzle because we do not do many puzzles for school work.

Next time I will choose a different puzzle beacuse I do not want it to be the same.

Joy Cowley

 This week for writing we were learning to paragraph. We have written about our favourite author the author that I have chosen is  Joy Cowley and I was trying to stick to 1 topic and also  tried to add 2 to 3 supporting details in my writing we have been learning to paragraph for at least 3 weeks now. We had to search some facts and then we had to write them on to a google docs that the teacher had sent us and then we had to write all our fats and writing into the docs the docs where called author study  so please go and read my post.

I found it easy to put it on my blog beacuse I have been doing blogging for 2 and a half years.

I found it hard to find facts about Joy cowley beacuse I have been only researching about her for my first time.

Native Rata Tree Slides

This week we have been learning to summarise.We have been writing same ideas and we will get a piece of wood and we will write what we write on our slides we will make the title in block letters today we have been making our slides and tomorrow we will be painting it on to the piece of wood. We will be painting our ideas on the pieces of wood and then we will be hammering it in to the ground by the tree that we chose. We had to read 4 books and then watch a video. I hope you like the plant that I have chosen.

I found it hard to find facts about the rata tree beacuse I have never read about the rata tree so I have learnt alot about the rata tree. 

I found it easy to make the slides beacuse I have used slides a lot and I found it easy to put the slides on my blog.

Next time I will choose a different tree beacuse I do want to learn about a lot more tree,s.

Japan Information Slides

 This week for reading we have been learning to skim and scan. We have been finding facts about Japan to add to our Japan information slides.We had to read 3 books and watch 2 videos and then we had to skim and scan through some facts about Japan. The slides that I have added is  about people,food,sports and animals from Japan I had so much fun skimming and scanning for facts. The facts  I found are really interesting.

Skim and scanning means you quickly read the book and scan means you scan for facts,

I found it hard to skim and scan beacuse I have never done it before.

I found it easy to find the fact and add them to my slides.

Next time I will change the color and I will choose different slides beacuse I do not want them to be the same.
